Charlie is a clarinetist who loves storytelling through music and takes a lot of inspiration from anime like Frieren, Hunter × Hunter, Mushoku Tensei, Demon Slayer, and From the New World. He approaches playing like building a soundtrack—focused on emotion, pacing, and color. He earned a Music Minor from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, served as Principal Clarinet in the Symphony and Wind Ensemble, and performed as a student soloist under Keith Waibel, including the Rietz Clarinet Concerto. Outside of music, Charlie works full-time as an engineer and teaches clarinet part-time at NCMAC. His sound is shaped by Dvořák and Weber, with cinematic influence from Joe Hisaishi and John Williams.
Rayneigh is a harpist with extensive experience in ensemble performance and collaborative music-making, with work spanning interactive systems and multimedia performances.

Alongside playing the clarinet, he enjoys exploring music through movement and sound, with experience in dance and hands-on work with mixing. For Yin_and_out, making music is a shared process — shaped by listening, interaction, and collective energy.
A multi-instrumentalist who enjoys arranging music from games and anime with the players always in mind. Also a composer of choral music and minimalistic instrumental music, focused on creating pieces that are fun, rewarding, and enjoyable for everyone to play.
Anya is a dedicated cellist currently pursuing her music studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Precollege Program (SFCM). She has performed with various orchestras, weaving her love of music into the rich symphonic textures as well as many chamber works. As she immerses herself in the vast world of classical music, Anya also interacts with a variety of more modern musical genres. Outside of music, she enjoys experimenting with many art mediums, especially digital arts, getting much of her inspiration from video games, anime, and manga.
Beginning with piano before discovering the cello, which ultimately defined my passion, music has been a inseparable part since I could remember. Through orchestra performances ranging from Dvořák to film and musical scores, the cello became inseparable from my daily life. I'm especially drawn to rhythm, which fuels my focus and energy, both in music and during workouts and boxing. My favorite piece is a symphonic–electronic work from the Gundam series by Hiroyuki Sawano.
Jennifer Tzeng is a Bay Area-based, classically trained violinist and performer who began studying violin at age five. She has extensive orchestral and ensemble experience and enjoys exploring repertoire ranging from classical works to game and film music. Jennifer is the founder of Tzeng Violin Studio, where she mentors students using a holistic approach centered on musical understanding, body awareness, and the physics of sound and resonance. She also creates original compositions for acoustic and electric violin and piano, blending classical elements with modern and contemporary sounds.
Haoran is a violinist enthusiastic in anime and game music, with 10+ years of experience in ensemble performance. He also plays on-stage as a drummer in a band focusing on JPop/JRock music.
Josh is a saxophonist with ensemble performance experience. His other instrument is the Ukulele, which he picked up to fulfill the fantasies of street busking. Too bad many orchestra arrangements don't have a Ukulele part. Previously, Josh has marched with CMU's Kiltie Band.
We’re building a leadership-level performance ensemble and are actively looking for strong players across sections.
